Batten down the hatches, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for parts of South Australia
Warning as follows
For people in Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and parts of West Coast and North West Pastoral districts.
Issued at 4:55 pm Monday, 9 November 2020.
Hot and windy across western and central SA on Tuesday.
Strong to locally damaging northerly winds, averaging 50-65 km/h with gusts of 90-100 km/h, are forecast to develop over the warning area during Tuesday morning. Winds will ease from mid afternoon ahead of a cooler southwesterly change.
Gusty, possibly severe thunderstorms are also expected across parts of the warning area during the afternoon and evening.
Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Ceduna, Maitland, Wudinna, Cleve and Woomera.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 11:00 pm ACDT Monday.
